Article Guidelines
Following are the submission guidelines for ASNT Pulse.
Length
Articles submitted to ASNT Pulse typically should range between 1000 and 3000 words. Text should be written in a Microsoft Word compatible program. Google Docs is a good alternative to Word.
If possible, include images to enhance your text.
Photos & Illustrations
Photographs and illustrations should be at least 1000 pixels wide at 72 dpi. Height can vary.
Be sure to get permission to reprint illustrations or text that have been used in other publications, online, or belong to other parties. Permission to reprint must come from the copyright holder. (The copyright holder might be an individual, a publishing house, or the organization for which the material was produced.)
Copyright holders of illustrations are credited in the blog post.

Commercialism
Blog posts are not to be used for direct promotion of a product, service, or other self-interest. Services may be discussed from the point of view of implementation, insight from an end-user, lessons learned, or any noncommercial point of view.
No company names or trademarks should appear in the text though they may be cited in acknowledgments, references, and author affiliations.
Use generic terms for products: polyaramid instead of Kevlar® and acrylic instead of Plexiglas®.
References
If your submission requires references, they should appear at the end of the text and be listed in the order of occurrence.
Copyright
ASNT will not publish material without a signed transfer of copyright from the author. Submission of a blog post implies that the content has not been published elsewhere and will not be published verbatim elsewhere.
The copyright transfer allows the author to link to or share the content electronically, distribute copies for internal use, use the materials for lectures or classroom purposes, share pdfs for internal company use. Content can be reused in future works provided ASNT is credited as the source. Content may also be used in derivative publications based on this work.

Recertification Points
Both contributors and reviewers can earn recertification renewal points.
Technical articles longer than 1000 words that require peer review will earn the contributor 3 recertification renewal points.
Peer reviewers will earn 1 recertification point per blog post reviewed.
Nontechnical submissions or features will not earn recertification points.
