Interested in government affairs and legislation? The Advocacy Subcommittee on State Advocacy focuses on building tools and resources to help ASNT members engage with local and state governments. This group will also partner with state agencies on workforce development, funding, and apprenticeships.

As a subcommittee member, you will:

Develop strategies and tools for state-level outreach.

Support efforts to increase visibility of NDT in workforce planning.

Collaborate with peers to influence policy and funding decisions.

Passionate about public relations and spreading the word about NDT? Join the Advocacy Subcommittee on Public Relations to collaborate with ASNT’s PR firm and uncover new opportunities to promote NDT.

As a subcommittee member, you will:

Support public relations campaigns and outreach efforts.

Help identify opportunities to promote NDT in media and industry.

Strengthen ASNT’s voice through communications and storytelling.

Do you want to be a voice for the NDT community? The Advocacy Council is open to all members interested in promoting and advancing our field. This group addresses outreach, education, public relations, legislation, and more — all tied to Vision 2035.

As a council member, you will:

Mostly virtual, but will have Hill Day meetings and other in-person opportunities (not required)

Join monthly 1-hour virtual meetings.

Take on specific advocacy-related tasks throughout the year.

Contribute to projects that strengthen awareness and recognition of NDT.

Do you have a story to tell or insights to share with the NDT community? ASNT is looking for volunteers to create engaging podcast episodes that highlight the people, technologies, and ideas shaping our field.

As a podcast volunteer, you will:

Contribute your expertise and perspective in a 1-hour recorded session.

Collaborate with ASNT staff to shape discussion topics.

Help grow awareness and interest in NDT through accessible, conversational content.

Recertification points are available.

ASNT is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to present or support live webinars for members and learners worldwide. Webinars are one of the best ways to deliver timely, relevant knowledge and connect with peers.

As a webinar volunteer, you will:

Deliver or co-present a 1-hour webinar on an area of expertise.

Prepare engaging slides, examples, or case studies.

Collaborate with ASNT to ensure smooth delivery and a quality learning experience.

Recertification points available

ASNT Sections are required to host a minimum of three technical meetings per year. Our sections need speakers to deliver NDT-related technical presentations at their meetings. ASNT has created a Section Speaker's Directory as a resource to help sections find speakers. Respond to this opportunity to be added to the Section Speaker's Directory so sections can easily find you.

When submitting your interest, please include the name of the proposed topic and 3-4 sentences describing the topic. If selected to be a guest speaker, you would be required to provide 10-12 questions for our host to ask you during the podcast.
